Hey guys! I'm about a week behind on posting this, but I'm finally back to tell you all about my favorite things from the past month! It's been an amazing past few weeks; I've been hanging out a lot with friends and family (and a special certain someone) and putting in more hours at work, so needless to say, I've been a very busy but very happy girl lately.
I only have 5 products on this month's favorites list, but I really want to give you guys an honest look at what I've truly been loving recently. Chances are, if something is on my favorites list once, I'm going to continue loving it for quite some time; so, if you're wondering what else I've been using in addition to these 5 things, it's most likely just a combination of products I've raved about in previous posts like this. For example, I still use my Tarte Amazonian Clay foundation on days where I want really awesome coverage, and I still use the Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer religiously (like on a daily basis, for reals). But, I've recently purchased a handful of awesome new products that I'm already planning on including in next month's favorites post, so be on the lookout for that in the first week of July! Until then, here's what I've been loving lately. Enjoy!
1. Bath & Body Works Lavender Vanilla Aroma Therapy Sleep Spray
I tried this for the first time when I received it as part of my Christmas gift from someone a few years back, and after using it sparingly throughout my entire duration of college, I finally ran out and repurchased it about a month ago. All you do is spray this on your pillows and bedding at night and let the smells of lavender and vanilla coax you into a comfy sleep.
The smell of lavender is so relaxing, especially right before bed. They also make this in a bubble bath, body wash, and lotion, but I like the spray best because it's fast, easy, and totally mess free.
2. Tangle Teezer
Tangle Teezers received a lot of hype on YouTube and beauty blogs about a year or so ago, and I finally broke down and bought one at Target not too long ago. My hair doesn't get very tangled, but I love using this to comb through my wet hair after a shower. I also like that it's small and light enough to easily carry in my purse for days when I'm outside a lot and need to prevent myself from looking like a hot mess.
If your hair is prone to some intense tangling, I highly recommend giving this little guy a try!
3. Benefit Roller Lash Mascara
Y'all, let me just say that I honestly considered devoting my entire "favorites" post to this one single product, because it...is...incredible. I was in the market for a new mascara last month, and I was debating between the Better Than Sex one from Too Faced or Benefit's Roller Lash. I went to Ulta and looked at the tester for the Too Faced mascara, but it really wasn't what I was looking for. I'm sure it's still a great product, but the wand was super fluffy (like a big black caterpillar) and looked like it would be kind of clumpy on the lashes.
Enter the Benefit Roller Lash...holy shit. The wand is perfect-it combs through your lashes beautifully and makes them look incredibly long and never clumpy (and I mean never).
4. Hollister "Hayden" Perfume
My sweet daddy got this perfume for me for Christmas last year, and since it's made with notes of mandarin, lotus blossom, and cedar wood, it's the perfect scent for summer. It smells light and fruity The bottle is adorable but simple (I'm weirdly obsessed with the little flower on top), and I love that the packaging is small enough to travel with!
5. Philosophy Shampoo/Shower Gel/Bubble Bath in "Fresh Cream"
Speaking of perfume, I sprayed a sample of "Fresh Cream" from Philosophy at Ulta a few weeks ago and instantly fell head over heels in love. Unfortunately, they were sold out of the perfume, but, I was lucky enough to get my hands on the body wash. I have to admit, while I still adore the hell out of this stuff, the smell isn't quite as intoxicating as the perfume. Regardless, this scent is incredible and not at all too sweet. It smells cold, if that makes any sense, like vanilla coffee creamer straight out of the fridge. I can't get enough. Amen.
