Hi everyone, I hope you're all having an amazing day! I honestly can't believe that my blog is already a month old, time has gone by so incredibly fast. It's been so much fun designing everything and writing posts about the things that I love, and I truly thank you for all of the sweet comments and followers I've received so far! I had been wanting to start a blog like this for years, and I'm so glad I finally made the decision to embrace the vulnerability of it all and just go for it. :)
With that being said, here are my beauty favorites for the month of September!
This is by far my favorite scent to wear in the Fall and Winter months. According to the product description on PINK's website, this body spray contains notes of "toasted vanilla and peony", which smells so comforting and delicious. I love that this scent isn't overly sweet, and that it's never overpowering like other perfumes and body sprays tend to be. Give this a try the next time you're visiting Victoria's Secret, I bet you'll fall in love!
If you haven't tried this concealer yet, I highly recommend that you get your hands on it as soon as humanly possible. It offers great coverage while also being very brightening and blendable, all for under $10. I use this concealer under my eyes after applying foundation, and it instantly makes me look like I got 8 hours worth of sleep on a cotton candy cloud. Long story short, I can no longer function without it.
Let me start by saying that I'm not a huge fan of the way this stuff smells, however, I do feel that it gets the job done in terms of keeping my makeup on my face throughout the day. I own a similar product from Urban Decay that costs about $30, and I really can't tell much a difference between the two. It's safe to say that I'll definitely be repurchasing this setting spray in the future, $3 versus $30 is an incredible difference in price when the quality of each product is virtually identical. Thank goodness for e.l.f.!
I've been through several on-again/off-again phases with this eye shadow, but recently our relationship has been 100% on. The shade of this product is so basic, but can easily be used either day or night depending on the other products used alongside it. It's also extremely easy to apply and blend, especially if applied after using even the tiniest bit of shadow primer. This is definitely my go-to eyeshadow for nights out because I know it'll stay put and look like I put much more effort into my appearance than I actually did. Shoutout to my fellow lazy girls!
You guys. I have wanted this blush since the minute I laid eyes on it on Benefit's Instagram account. The color is beautiful, not to mention the fact that it also smells like peaches and pomegranates. It looks extremely natural when worn alone, but you can also use it as a sort of primer to be worn under other powder blushes in order to make the color really pop and last longer throughout the day. While $28 is a pretty hefty price to pay for blush, I think the color, consistency, and packaging of this product is well worth cost.
I purchased this Real Techniques brush to use with my Benefit Majorette blush, and the combo was a match made in heaven. Using a stippling brush makes applying cream blush so easy, you just gently tap the brush onto the product a few times and then quickly and lightly pop it onto the apples of your cheeks and blend outwards on the cheekbone. The results are super natural and make you look healthy, awake, and full of life!
Last but certainly not least, this shower gel is amazing. It's currently sold out on the LUSH website, but I really hope that they re-stock it soon because I'm definitely re-purchasing this product. The fragrance is so warm, comforting, and almost spicy, which makes it the perfect mixture of feminine and masculine scents. Aside from that, it's also very moisturizing and never irritating on my sensitive skin. Hello, lover.
