Current Base Routine

It's very rare that I switch up my makeup routine, especially when it comes to my foundation/base products. I've been using most the following products for quite some time now, so I figured I'd share my every day foundation routine with you guys!

1. BENEFIT POREFESSIONAL

After using my toner and moisturizer/SPF, the first thing I always apply is a primer. This brand is the only high-end variety I've tried, but I'm looking to branch out and try something new once this tube runs out-I know it's a great primer, but I won't know just how wonderful it is until I'm able to compare it to something else. Give me some suggestions! :)

2. URBAN DECAY DE-SLICK SETTING SPRAY

This is a new step for me lately, but I'm hoping it'll make a difference in the way my foundation and concealer last throughout the day. I usually apply this after finishing my foundation/concealer/powder, but I've heard from multiple sources that applying this before and after applying foundation makes a big difference when it comes to reducing oiliness (something I desperately need assistance with). Fingers crossed!

3. TARTE AMAZONIAN CLAY FOUNDATION

This foundation is such a wonderful, wonderful, wonderful  product. The coverage is great, it doesn't make me feel like I'm breaking out, and it has a deliciously buttery consistency that I just want to smear all over my body (calm down, Jessica). I usually apply this with a foundation brush, but I use a damp beauty blender for special occasions when I'm really aiming for flawlessly even and natural looking coverage.

4. MAYBELLINE AGE REWIND CONCEALER

Ok, let's be real, if you have yet to hear about the miracle of this concealer then you have been living under a rock for a hot minute, my friend. Off the top of my head, I can name 3 separate times I've raved about this little baby on my blog, and I am not ashamed that this is the 4th time I'm mentioning it. I apply it in an inverted triangle shape under my eyes and blend it downwards and around the bottom of my nose with my ring fingers. Keeping this step on repeat every single day for the rest of my life...Amen.

5. MAYBELLINE FIT ME CONCEALER

This concealer is supposedly a good dupe for the NARS Creamy Concealer, which I've been wanting to try for the past few months but can't seem to justify spending that much money on something that's never supposed to be seen or noticed on my face. But, I will say that I'm consistently satisfied with the coverage and formula of this concealer by Maybelline, so perhaps I'll stick with the drugstore variety for now.

6. COVERGIRL CLEAN PRESSED POWDER

This powder is a bit of a recent purchase for me, but so far I'm happy with how light and natural looking the finish is. This powder is supposed to be oil controlling, and as optimistic as I was to try it out, I can't say that I've seen a noticeable difference in my skin. I will say, however, that my skin has been especially horrendous lately, so that may have something to do with the excess oil production. Time to crawl back to Proactiv on my hands and knees, begging for salvation and forgiveness.

7. BENEFIT HOOLA BRONZER

Does this count as a base product? We'll say yes for the sake of this post and assume that it is, since I use the same bronzer practically every day. I apply this with a Real Techniques contour brush under my cheekbones, on my temples, and under my jaw to add some more dimension to my face and warmth to my complexion.
