It's Ipsy time! If you're unfamiliar with Ipsy, it's a $10 monthly beauty subscription that contains 5-6 deluxe samples or full sized makeup, hair, skincare and body products from a variety of well known and upcoming brands. Each month features a specific theme, which all of that bag's products are centered around. Best of all, the products come in a super cute collectible makeup bag that's completely different from month to month. Ipsy does not currently ship internationally, but it does ship to Canada, the United States, and US territories. Click here if you're interested in starting your own Ipsy subscription (which I highly recommend), and continue reading to see what I received in this month's Glam Bag!
1. Bella'Pierre Cosmetics Mineral Lipstick in P.I.N.K.
This super pigmented pink lipstick is incredibly moisturizing and lightweight, which is awesome because I hate the feeling of a dry, draggy lip product. It's just the right color for transitioning from summer into fall since it's sort of a bright berry color. Since it's made with all natural waxes and oils, it's super hydrating and smoothing. I have it on my lips right now and it feels like I'm just wearing a lip balm. Hello, new go-to lipstick!
2. Jor'el Parker Perfume in "Classico"
I've received quite a few perfume samples since I became an Ipsy subscriber (or "Ipster", if you wanna be cute. I don't.), and it's rare for me to like a scent as much as I like this one. The product information on Ipsy's website describes this perfume as "exotic, inspiring, and full of surprises", and while I can't necessarily say I'm inspired or surprised by it, it really is a beautiful and multi-dimensional scent. It has notes of "spicy" Indian Tuberose (what's that!), "sweet" Turkish Cyclamen (huh!), and "purifying" Spanish Mandarin (oh boy!), which combine to create an invigorating and intoxicating fragrance that's perfect for sweltering summer nights. Me gusta.
3. Tarte Deluxe Amazonian Clay Waterproof Bronzer in "Park Ave Princess"
I may have freaked out a little when I saw that I was getting this bronzer in my Ipsy bag this month. Tarte is one of my all time favorite high end brands, but I've never used any of their face products other than two different foundations and a blush. I've heard a lot of great things about Park Ave Princess, and now I can totally see what all the fuss is about. When I swatched it on my hand, the color was shimmery, golden and the definition of bronze. Once I applied it under my cheekbones, though, it appeared much darker, but it was really easy to blend out into a super natural and gorgeous finish. It might be a bit much for my usual day time routine, but I'm excited to incorporate it into my fancy "going out" makeup!
4. Jersey Shore Cosmetics Mongongo Vanilla Coconut Cream Lip Conditioner
Like fragrances, I've also received my fair share of lip balms over the past two years' worth of Glam Bags. I'm usually decently impressed, but never enough to continue using them on a regular basis. This one, however, may prove itself to be the exception. This lip conditioner from Jersey Shore Cosmetics is so moisturizing and delicious smelling that I can't help but apply it over and over (and over) again. I'm a sucker for vanilla and coconut, so I'm virtually a goner when the two are combined with one another. The formula of this product is really light weight, plus it's made from 100% natural ingredients that work to protect your lips from UV and environmental pollutants. Yay!
5. 'Tini Beauty Eyetini Swizzle Stick Eyeliner in "Blue Hawaiian"
I own at least three other blue eyeliners similar to this one from 'Tini Beauty, but none of them compare to how bright and beautiful this one is. It adds such a fresh and bold pop of color to my eyes, which is a really fun change considering I normally only wear black eyeliner (if any at all, on most days). This would look really nice on minimal makeup days with natural lips and cheeks because it would really pop and highlight the eye area in a fun and unexpected way.
