Ipsy Glam Bag Review: June 2015

It's Ipsy time! If you're unfamiliar with Ipsy, it's a $10 monthly beauty subscription that contains 5-6 deluxe samples or full sized makeup, hair, skincare and body products from a variety of well known and upcoming brands. Each month features a specific theme, which all of that bag's products are centered around. Best of all, the products come in a super cute collectible makeup bag that's completely different from month to month. Ipsy does not currently ship internationally, but it does ship to Canada, the United States, and US territories.  Click here if you're interested in starting your own Ipsy subscription (which I highly recommend), and continue reading to see what I received in this month's Glam Bag!

1. Aurora- Gel Effect Nail Polish in "4 Alarm Fire"

Fun fact: I'm usually horrible at painting my own nails, especially if I'm using a dark color like this. I was really impressed with this nail polish from Aurora, however, and even though I obviously didn't do a perfect job (please disregard my dry and pitiful witch fingers), this is honestly so much better than any dark pink or red colored manicure I've ever tried to give myself.

For starters, this formula is thick and heavily pigmented, which means you'll probably only need one coat. Second, I was amazed at how quickly it dried. I swear, as soon as I got done painting the last nail on my hand, the rest of my fingers were already completely dry to the touch. Best of all, this polish promises the lasting effects of a gel manicure without needing to use a UV light,  I'm definitely a big fan of this stuff!

2. LaVanila Laboratories- The Healthy Body Butter in "Pure Vanilla"

If you were around a few months ago to check out my January Beauty Favorites then you'll know I'm already head over heels in love with my LaVanila perfume. This body butter smells just as amazing, plus it does a great job of hydrating my sensitive skin without making me feel all tingly and itchy like other lotions and body butters have been known to do.

My only complaint about this product is that the sample I received has an extremely small amount of product inside it. I really have to squeeze and shake the packaging to get even the tiniest bit of product out, and even though the inside of my Glam Bag was totally clean, it's almost as if the tube had leaked out most of what should have been inside of it. Other than that, though, I'm in love with this body butter and I can't wait to try more products from LaVanilla!

3. Smashbox Cosmetics- Photo Finish Foundation Primer

I was so thrilled to see that I received a sample of this in my Glam Bag this month because I've been wanting to try this primer from Smashbox for such a long time! I haven't used it on my face yet, but it felt really nice when I blended it onto the back of my hand. It starts off as a gel and then turns into more of a matte and powdery feeling texture once you blend it into your skin, which makes me really optimistic that it'll live up to all the hype its received. Plus, it's oil free, which makes my oily-skinned self very excited. I have high hopes for this little guy!

4. tre'StiQue- Mini Shadow Crayon in "Venetian Gold"

I'm honestly not a huge fan of eyeshadow sticks like this, but I really like the color of this one, so I might actually use it! My cat is a jerk and knocked over all of my products while I was attempting to photograph them yesterday, and the tip of this eyeshadow broke off in the process. It didn't make for a pretty picture, but rest assured that the color of this product is a slightly shimmery and gorgeous shade of light champagne-gold.

5. Glamierre- Flat Top Concealer Brush

Getting makeup brushes in my Glam Bag is probably one of my favorite things ever, so needless to say, I was thrilled to receive this little guy. I don't own any other brushes like it, and the bristles are so dense and soft. I can't wait to start implementing this brush into my daily makeup routine--I have no doubt that it'll help conceal the pesky little spots that are currently taking residence on my chin.
