ipsy Glam Bag Review: October 2014

It's that time of the month again! I had been anxiously waiting for my shiny pink package from ipsy to arrive in the mail for the past few days, and I was so happy with what they sent me. I'm usually a fan of two or three items in every month's bag, but I seriously love every product I received in this Glam Bag. (Note: If you aren't familiar with ipsy, check out my post from last month here, or click here to visit their website!)

Read below to see what goodies I received in my October Glam Bag!

1. Ayres Patagonia Body Butter

This stuff smells like the fancy aromatherapy lotion they have at nice hotels, and I freaking love it. According to the product description on ipsy's website, it's made with vitamin E and shea nut butter, and includes hints of lavender, bergamot, ylang-ylang, oakmoss, patchouli, and fir as well as essential oils of jasmine and rosemary. I don't know what half of those words are, but I assume they all smell good, which is all that matters to me. Also, this product is not tested on animals, A+!

2. Indie Lee Brightening Cleanser

Aside from its adorable packaging, this cleanser smells super sweet and fruity (strawberry fruit extract, hello!), which is only the beginning of its amazing qualities. First, it is paraben and phthalate free, making it a 100% all-natural product. Second, this cleanser removes eye makeup, can be used with electronic face cleansers (e.g. Clarisonic brushes), AND can be used to clean makeup brushes. What! And, last but not least, this cleanser acts as an exfoliating mask if you leave it on your face for 5-10 minutes. I'm in love, and I think I need a full size of this stuff ASAP.

3. Nicole by OPI Nail Lacquer in "On a Gilt Trip"

I'm normally not a huge fan of shimmery or glittery nail polishes, but I can definitely make an exception for this color and texture from OPI. It's the perfect shade of gold for the upcoming holiday season, and the glitter is so fine that it doesn't feel chunky or heavy on the nails at all. I suggest using a top coat with this polish in order to give it a more glossy appearance and texture, as it can look a bit flat and dry on its own. Nevertheless, I will definitely be wearing this again once the holidays are here!

4. noyah Lipstick in "Deeply in Mauve"

Holy mother of Fall lip colors, this lipstick is insane. Aside from the gorgeous gold packaging (*drool*) and amazing shade and consistency, this product is all-natural and has not been tested on animals. I'm beyond obsessed.

5. Skone Cosmetics TATTOOED Waterproof Eyeliner

Last but certainly not least, I received a FULL SIZED liquid eyeliner from Skone Cosmetics...full sized (which retails for $15)! In my opinion, a girl can never have too many black liquid liners. I just counted mine, and I am proud to say that I currently have 5, which isn't terribly excessive, right? While my Stila liner will always be my MVP, I was pretty impressed with this one. I managed to accomplish a semi-decent cat eye, which is a pretty big deal in my book. I'll gladly add this liner to my collection!

As I mentioned above, this month's ipsy bag was amazing! Are you a Glam Bag subscriber too? If so, I'd love to know what you received in your bag this month! I hope you all had a great weekend, thanks for reading! :)
