It's Friday! We made it! I hope you had fantastic week and are looking forward to an even more fantastic weekend. My week was a blur, as usual, but I crammed in some family time with my grandma on Wednesday and got to visit with my sweet baby cousin yesterday before I left for work.
I've been working on my blog so hard lately, almost to the point of not being able to really focus on anything else. This is not my life, though. I love blogging, and I've loved watching the progress I've made over the past year, but I need to gently remind myself that it's ok to take a break and focus on more tangible things from time to time. I don't want to get burnt out, and I don't want to put myself down when I don't reach the goals that I'm constantly setting and re-setting for myself. I came across this quote on Pinterest (of course) recently, and it's really helped me to put things into perspective the past few days...
I love this quote, and I hope it also helps you to realize that our goals, while important, are not the substance of life. Enjoy your family, enjoy your friends, go outside, step away from your computer or your projects. When we enjoy life and intentionally express gratitude for who and what we love, that's when our true talents and abilities will find the inspiration to shine. Just my two cents. ;)
Have great weekend, friends!
