It should come as no surprise that I'm a bit of an addict when it comes to buying beautiful things just because they're pretty. With that being said, I'm literally obsessing over all six of these gorgeous items on this wish-list, and I 100% intend to purchase each and every one of them within the next few paychecks. #SorryNotSorry, the heart wants what it wants. Without further ado, allow me to now ramble about why these things deserve a special place in my home...
1. Fossil Knox Leather Shopper
Spoiler alert: I may have actually bought this on HauteLook yesterday while procrastinating on doing data entry at work. I blame it on stress, but I'm seriously so excited to get this sweet leathery little baby in the mail within the next few days. It's going to be so beautiful for Fall, and the side pockets on this thing are to die for...it's actually border line disgusting how much I'm looking forward to tossing all my crap in this bag, throwing it over my shoulder, and tackling the day. Come at me, Winter.
2. The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo
At the risk of sounding comically ironic, this book needs to be in my life ASAP. As much as I love shopping and displaying all my pretty things, there comes a time where enough is enough and you need to seriously downsize. I reached that point, like, yesterday. Why do I feel the need to hoard my old t-shirts from elementary, middle, and high school? Why can't I bring myself to get rid of my two favorite pairs of black jeggings (both with tiny little holes in the crotch)? Even though I did a huge clutter purge less than 3 months ago, I still feel so overwhelmed with an astounding abundance of stuff. Estèe (aka Essiebutton, aka my life muse) recommended this in her June favorites video, so I know it has to be amazing. I trust her judgement more than I trust Oprah's, and that's saying something.
3. Beautyblender Blotterazzi
As someone who suffers from chronic oiliness, I am over the moon about this new product from Beautyblender. This is a cute little mirrored compact that comes with two sponges which are made of the same material as the classic Beautyblender sponges we all know and love-but, rather than using these little cuties to apply your makeup, these sponges are meant to blot away oil and keep you looking matte and feeling fresh. #iNeed
4. Rifle Paper Co. 2016 Botanical Planner
I'm not one to wish my life away, but I need for January to get here just so I can utilize this gorgeous, beautiful, perfect (I could go on for days) planner from Rifle Paper Co. It covers 17 months, includes inspirational quotes, a little pocket for loose papers such as receipts or important mail, and has sections for notes and contacts. Is it a stretch to say that this tiny little planner just might make all my dreams come true? I think not. Rifle Paper Co., you win at life.
5. Taylor Swift "Incredible Things" Perfume
Taylor Swift is kind of one of those celebrities who people either love or hate, and while I used to think she was overrated and unoriginal, she's really come into her own within these past few years. In a way, haven't we all? I wouldn't be a fan of my 16-18 year old self either, so I can't really blame her for writing a song about Tim McGraw. I'm completely unashamed to say that I'm now a huge fan of hers, so much so that I even bought her last album and freaking LOVED. IT. Anyhow, I digress. One of my best friends had this perfume in her purse when we went out for her birthday dinner this week, and I immediately decided that I also needed it in my purse once I smelled it. According to Target's product description, "Incredible Things" is a floral/oriental scent with notes of Madagascar vanilla and vetiver mixed with creamy musk and suede flower. I honestly don't know what any of things smell like other than vanilla, but trust me, this perfume is love in a bottle.
6. Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette
As much as I hate feeling shiny due to my naturally dewey (err...oily) complexion, I still want to have glowy, healthy, and "lit from within" looking skin, especially during summer. I've had my eye on this highlighting palette from Hourglass for a hot minute, and despite the fact that I'm still obsessing over my Milani "Luminoso" blush because of it's out of this world highlighting capabilities, there's just something about this gorgeous trio that's simply irresistible to me. It's pretty pricey, but it's just too gorgeous to pass up.
